Ballwin Schools' Pennies Help Fill Thanksgiving Plates

Schools in Ballwin helped raise more than $2,000 for the St. Louis Area Food Bank as part of the "Pennies Make Sense" campaign leading up to Thanksgiving.

Holy Infant, Claymont Elementary, Woerther Elementary, Westrige Elementary, Ballwin Elementary, Henry Elementary and Selvidge Middle schools all participated in the penny-fundraiser, as well as the Ballwin Police Department and The Pointe at Ballwin Commons.

Students and staff at the schools raised a total of $2,023.10 throughout October, which will help pay for Thanksgiving meals for St. Louis-area families in need of holiday assistance.
