Ballwin Council to Meet Monday

Monday's Ballwin Board of Aldermen meeting will swear in its newly-elected alderman and hear presentations from city department heads.

The Ballwin Board of Aldermen is scheduled to meet Monday evening to address a petition for a new business, award a municipal fuel contract and swear in Alderman Mark Harder.

The meeting should start at 7 p.m. Monday at the .

OATH OF OFFICE & SECOND ROLL CALL
After the Minutes are approved, the Oath of Office will be administered to Mayor Tim Pogue, Ward 2 Alderman   Mark Harder, Ward 3 Alderman Jim Leahy, and Ward 4 Alderman Ken Mellow. 

CONFLICT OF INTEREST  (Bill 3670)
The State of Missouri requires that we readopt and submit this ordinance every 2 years.

PROSECUTING ATTORNEY (Bill 3671)
This legislation amends the time frame for the selection process as directed at the last Board meeting

CAP CARPET (Bill # 3672 and Bill # 3673) 
CAP Carpet has petitioned to build a 17,000 square foot retail development at 14932 – 14940 Manchester Road.  This requires the approval of MRD overlay zoning and a Consolidation Subdivision to combine the two parcels into one.

ALDERMANIC COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS
Mayor Pogue would like to discuss future assignments to the four standing committees of the Board of Aldermen.

GOLF COURSE FUEL
It is recommended that we continue to use Sieveking as our supplier of unleaded gas and diesel fuel for the golf course operations.

2010 DEPARTMENT REPORTS
Each Department Head will present an overview and analysis of their 2010 activities.

OUTDOOR DISPLAYS
Guidelines are proposed to permit limited outdoor merchandise displays in our commercial business district.  Legislative action will be required.

CANDIDATE CERTIFICATION
City Attorney Jones has drafted the attached memo to address the issues of candidate declaration, verification, and certification.

FOOD TRUCKS / TRAILERS
This draft legislation provides guidelines to permit satellite food trucks and related parking in a commercial district.

LEGAL UPDATES 
City Attorney Jones will provide a status report on pending legal issues.
