Ballwin Man Drives Into Truck, Lands in Hospital
A Ballwin man "didn't observe" another vehicle and caused an accident on Interstate 270, police say.
Travis Guariglia, a 35-year-old Ballwin resident, was driving northbound on Interstate 270 Tuesday evening when he failed to observe a 2006 International truck and hit it with his car, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The accident happened north of Olive Boulevard at 6:50 p.m.
The other driver was Daniel Vitale, a 58-year-old Wentzville resident.
Guariglia was taken to Mercy Hospital by a Creve Coeur Fire Protection emergency crew for minor injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.
Vitale was wearing a seat belt, and did not sustain injuries, according to the report.
Guarigilia's 2013 Chevrolet Impala was totaled and towed from the scene. Vitale drove his truck from the incident.
