Eureka Music Center's School of Music offers private vocal and music lessons for those who want to play piano, drums, guitar, banjo and other instruments. At Fazio's, which is located in Ellisville at 15440 Manchester Road, an after-school Rock Academy just concluded Dec. 14 after starting in October. At Fazio's Rock Academy, each student receives a one-on-one evaluation with a Fazio's instructor prior to beginning the camp. Following evaluations, students will be placed into bands according to skill level and style preference. All student bands fit into one of four skill levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced, and all star. Specific criteria is established for each instrument. Students have the chance to 'graduate' to the next level and be placed in a band with players of the same skill level upon each evaluation.

Fazio's Rock Academy features a new song list of 100 classic and modern rock songs. Each song will be graded beginner, intermediate, advanced, or all star to coincide with the skill level of each student band, according to the company's website. Each band will be assigned a professional Fazio's instructor. This instructor will serve as the band's coach for the entirety of session. Camp will conclude with a concert performed by student bands at the DOXA Arts Center, a real performance venue.

Another option is to take lessons at Mozingo Music, located alongside Clarkson Road in Ellisville, via the store's Rock University.

Mozingo's Rock University is a rock band program for vocalists, guitarists, bassists, drummers, and keyboardists between the ages of 10 and 17. All students who enroll are placed in one of four skill categories: beginner, intermediate, advanced, and advanced plus. Skill level for new students is determined by a student skill evaluation with the director prior to beginning of session.

At the end of the nine-week session, student bands will perform an end of session concert at a local venue, according to Mozingo's website. Various opportunities for performances before, after and throughout the nine-week sessions will occur.
