Construction Progresses for 'Boutique' Schnucks on Kehrs Mill
Patch takes a look at how the Schnucks building is shaping up as construction continues past an original "midsummer" opening goal.
The Schnucks Market being built at Clarkson and Kehrs Mill Roads is still making its way in construction since the idea first came about in Ballwin almost three years ago.
Schnucks Communications Director Lori Willis originally told Patch in April that the store would seek an opening "sometime mid-summer, in July or August."
Patch took a peek at construction progress Sept. 4, where, visibly, exterior walls were acquiring detailing and facade placement.

What an awful looking building jammed into an area unfit for anything this size. Hardly "boutique".
I can only assume that Albert Speer was the architect here, which, I guess, would be appropriate.

That has got to be one of the ugliest fences they put up to block the store from the neighbors. Why didn't they do like Dierberg's did at several of their locations and at least make it attractive for the residents? This whole project is such an eyesore. Does schnucks not have any pride?
