Group Targeting Ellisville Council to Meet Tuesday
The Ellisville Article 9 Alliance, formed in opposition to a pending Walmart Superstore, is scheduled to meet Tuesday to discuss the recall of city council members.
Residents of Ellisville unhappy with the city council's recent decision to permit a Walmart with tax incentives for the store's developer are expected to meet Tuesday evening.
The group, called the Ellisville Article 9 Alliance, is expected to discuss efforts to recall select city council members and lobby for state legislation curbing the use of TIF districts.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at West County Lanes. For more information, contact Ellisville Article 9 Aliance Interim Chairperson Liz Schmidt at 636-399-5828.

I would, but given how scary some of the supposed members are, I plan on staying away. There was one commenter on a similar article who is a huge supporter of this group, and she drops innuendos on supposedly knowing others' secrets (particularly if they do not agree with her 100%). Sad, because it's keeping good folks away.

I'm going. I missed most of the council meetings due to a standing obligation on Wednesday nights. I want to learn what the actions are that are being proposed.

Glad that at least one might be attending. This is so typical. I would like to attend but ...... If you do not attend you are giving up your right to complaine. In Ballwin people would attend one meeting say give a few minutes comments and then disappear. Never to show up again. What are the elected authorities to believe? It takes a continued effort, without which those few who vote or attend meetings or have relationships with the elected authories will prevail. It is interesting that there have been comments that only a few hundred people attended a meeting etc. Consider how many that it out of the entire commuinities population! But also remember the small percentage that votes.
