Labor Day: What's Open and What's Closed

Many businesses and public buildings will close or have amended hours to observe the holiday Sept. 3.

When Labor Day weekend arrives on the calendar, it's a good time to squeeze in a few more summer traditions.

In Ballwin and Ellisville, it also means it's the last chance to hit the city pools and aquatic centers. EDGE Aquatic Center in Ellisville and North Pointe in Ballwin close after the long weekend but are both open 11:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Monday. The Pointe at Ballwin Commons is open for special hours from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Ballwin and Ellisville government offices are closed Monday. Ballwin trash pick-up services are delayed one day this week and Ellisville will have recycling, yard waste and trash pick-up on Thursday.

If you're heading out to eat, shop or visit another business, call ahead to make sure they're open and to confirm holiday hours.
