More Parking Will Be Added at Ballwin Grove Shopping Plaza
Ballwin Board of Aldermen approved the move for additional parking spaces at the busy shopping plaza on Clayton Road.
With the hustle and bustle brewing at Ballwin Grove as businesses fill up the shopping plaza, something has become certain.
There just isn't enough parking.
Ballwin Grove, located at Clayton Road and Henry Avenue next to a CVS Pharmacy, provides a home for several local businesses including Circle 7 Ranch, Marcella's Mia Sorella, Paperdolls Boutique, 6 North Cafe, Pulaski Bank and more coming in the near future such as a Tide Dry Cleaners and Sei Bella Salon.
As Circle 7 Ranch and Mia Sorella opened within a few weeks of each other this Fall, their popularity as new local favorites peaks during the evening hours. Visitors park their vehicles to fill the Ballwin Grove lot, parking next to curbs and any available space, including the neighboring CVS with the threat of towing.
Discussion spurred at the Oct. 22 Ballwin Board of Aldermen meeting that Ballwin Grove was "too successful" and the call for 35 additional parking spaces was approved at the Nov. 12 meeting. The extra spots were planned for and included in the original Ballwin Grove site plan as optional.
"I think it will alleviate it, but not completely solve [the parking problem]," said Ballwin Mayor Tim Pogue at the Oct. 22 meeting.
