Dubbed "too successful" at a Board of Alderman meeting in October, the Ballwin Grove shopping center on Clayton Road and Henry Avenue has been clogged with vehicles fighting for parking spaces in the evenings.

That's come since the opening of two restaurants in the plaza, Circle 7 Ranch and Marcella's Mia Sorella.

The problem may be fixed soon. Backhoes and bulldozers were on the scene on Tuesday, scooping out a previously grassy area of the property for what will be more parking spaces.

Ballwin Grove is next to a CVS Pharmacy. Besides the two restaurants that recently opened it's also home to Paperdolls Boutique, 6 North Cafe, Pulaski Bank and more coming, including a Tide Dry Cleaners and Sei Bella Salon.

Ballwin aldermen approved the construction of 35 additional parking spaces in the plaza on Nov. 12.
