One of the victims of a three-car crash last week in Chesterfield has died, the Chesterfield Police Department confirmed.

The accident occurred at approximately 10 a.m. Aug. 29 in the intersection of Clayton and Claymoor Roads, a few blocks from Parkway West High School. Both lanes of Clayton Road were closed for several hours as accident reconstruction crews investigated the scene.

Four people involved in that accident were injured and taken to area hospitals with one of the victims reportedly having severe head injuries, said Chesterfield Police Capt. Steven Lewis. Lewis could not confirm which of the victims died or any further information at the time.
