Pirello is just feathering his nest and working on his exit strategy.

Bookman may be doing a fine job and exceeding requirements. If so, give him a raise or a bonus. Not a gilded parachute if he is fired w/o cause to pay him 'extra' to *not* work for the city. We, the taxpaying citizens of Ellisville get zero benefit from any such payouts. I would also question why those two positions are contractors and not employees if they are permanent needs of the city (or are now known to be after six years).

The sooner that vagrant Pirrello is out the better.

I think Bookout has done a fine job, but this is not warranted (nor the norm) and amounts to political favors by Pirrello. Pathetic.

Mayor Paul is absolutely right to resist the change.

Bravo to Mayor Paul and the elected officials that saw this for what it was -- someone wanting to *make money* off of getting terminated. If the City Manager is doing his job well, he shouldn't be worried about an extended severance package.

Agree with Mike K asking the questions about why the Manager and City Clerk are contracted positions. As a taxpaying citizen of Ellisville, I would like an explanation on how this benefits the City.

This council plays fast and loose with Ellisville tax money. A couple of them look like they are wising up to the shenanigans.

Everybody is watching everything they do now including trying to sneak things on the agenda in violation of their own rules. They have have nobody to blame but themselves.

Mayor Paul is doing such a great job that Mercedes is leaving Ellisville for the city of St. Louis. There goes more jobs and thousands of tax dollars. Good job Mayor Paul for turning Ellisville into a ghost town while resisting change.

Some pretend millionaires will have to drive to the City of St. Louis (that was stupid enough to give the dealership a tif to relocate) to buy their pretend Mercedes.

Mercedes will find their security costs skyrocket operating in the city.
