I am very happy it is opening. they have done a fantastic job of making the store appear clean, inviting and good for the area.

No, I am not happy and plan to boycott it, Dierbergs is better anyway.
I live on Kehrs Mill and find outrageous that Ballwin allowed building this monster.
It should have been house(s) or even villas/condos. I feel sorry for the subdivision residents next to it.

A virtual tour is the only way I plan to see this Schnucks. I will boycott as well. Shame on Schnucks for ignoring our community and building against 95% nearby peoples' wishes. This store could have been opened in the still vacant Straub’s store at Clayton and Clarkson a half-mile south. The Dierbergs a half-mile north is a much better corporate citizen so I'll continue to shop there.

Schnucks is the only supermarket locally to have received the Black Pearl Award. Its excellence speaks for itself.

For those planning on boycotting the store, why don't you give it a chance and at least come in and see what Schnucks has to offer. I believe you would be pleasantly surprised by the products offered and the friendliness of the employees.

Blame your city planners, not local businesses.

If everyone boycotts the store, we'll have another empty dinosaur like Straubs on our hands. Better they should thrive and create some jobs. I just hope the traffic issues aren't going to be an issue.

I live in Chesterfield and do most of my shopping at Whole Foods, and live closer to the mall so I wouldnt shop there anyway. However, I must say if the local residents and when I say local I mean within a 5 block radius by popular vote didnt want it Schnucks should have thout about the message they were sending. It is lke new neighbors moving in you don't want to come off on the wrong foot, and it appears as though they have. People are very hard to have their opions changed once they draw them. Just my 2 cents, but I do firmly agree that sometimes businesses need to see the impact of their moves and the messages they send intended or not.

The "Friendlist Store In Town" just became the most unfriendly store by going against the many, many wishes of the residents of this area by building this store. After seeing the new sign on the corner of Clarkson & Kehrs Mill, which reads "City of Ballwin", we realize this must have been one of the kickbacks to get it approved by the officials of Ballwin.

I think it's a great store and perfect location. Once the nearby residents get to appreciate the convenience, I hope they'll change their opinions. The store is tastefully done both in and out. I like schnucks so much more than the over priced Dierbergs.

The popular vote doesnt elect our president.. why would anyone think it would make a difference where a grocery store would go? Just a thought
