Traffic Alert: MoDot Halts I-270 Closures & Rock Blasting Friday
Friday's rock blast and I-270 closures between I-44 and Manchester Road are canceled due to rain and the holiday.
The Missouri Department of Transportation stated in a news release that it canceled its daily Interstate 270 lane closures Friday due to the rain and holiday.
MoDOT has been performing rock blasts and briefly closing I-270 between Manchester Road and Interstate 44 as part of the road widening construction project. The closures take place weekdays at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., for approximately 15 minutes each time.
The next rock blast will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, according to MoDOT.
The closures are then set to continue weekdays throughout the summer.
All of this construction is weather permitting.
