West County Man Stole Wedding Band, Dog Tags From His Mother's Closet, Police Say

St. Louis County Police said Clayton Fisher's girlfriend sold the ring to a gold buyer.

A West County man faces a criminal charge for stealing a wedding ring from his mother Feb. 19.

Clayton Fisher, 30, was charged Saturday with second-degree burglary and felony stealing.

St. Louis County Police said Fisher entered his mother’s home in the 1200 block of Kiefer Creek Road south of Ballwin. Police said Fisher stole a wedding band and dog tags from a lock box in his mother’s closet.

Police said Fisher’s girlfriend sold the ring to a gold buyer’s shop. The ring was valued at $1,000.

Fisher's address was listed the same as his mother's house on court documents. He is being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center. Bail was set at $25,000, cash only.
