The Ellisville Park Board is coordinating a Honeysuckle Removal Day in Bluebird Park and are looking for volunteers. Honeysuckle is a non-native invasive plant that takes over in wooded areas and chokes out any growth of new native plants and small trees. Volunteers ages 14 and up only please. Located in Ellisville, Blue Bird Park is a 167-acre facility that provides area residents with a wide-array of fun, family-friendly amenities. Found on Kiefer Creek Road, the park offers residents an aquatic center, child-safe playground, three tennis courts, picnic pavilions, two softball fields, a disc golf course, a concert amphitheater, a picnic area and a nature trail.
