When Labor Day weekend arrives on the calendar, it's a good time to squeeze in a few more summer traditions as schools, along with local, state and federal offices are closed. The Ballwin Planning and Zoning Commission will meet Tuesday instead of Monday, and this time it will be back at the Police & Courts building, which has been undergoing renovations since May.
In both communities, Labor Day means it's the last chance to hit the city pools and aquatic centers. The Edge in Ellisville and the North Pointe Aquatic Center in Ballwin close for the season after being open to the public today (both facilities will host doggie dives later this week).
Ballwin trash pick-up services are delayed one day this week and Ellisville will have recycling, yard waste and trash pick-up on Thursday.
If you're heading out to eat, shop or visit another business, call ahead to make sure they're open and to confirm holiday hours.
