Ballwin Previews Parks Discounts, Warns of Pending Projects

The newly released April newsletter for the City of Ballwin discusses upcoming construction projects, discounts for parks programs and efforts to control the local mosquito population.

With spring officially here, The is reminding residents about road work initiatives, county health department projects and opportunities for savings available in the weeks ahead.

A digital copy of the city's newsletter released to residents Wednesday discusses more than $2.5 million in street work scheduled to be completed soon, including work on Kehrs Mill Road as well as sidewalk construction along more than a dozen local streets.

The St. Louis County Health is scheduled to begin spraying larvacide on standing water known to breed mosquitoes in the middle of April, followed by "fogging" sometime in May. Where that fogging takes place changes based on the mosquito populations' locations. Residents can report mosquito issues at 636-227-9000. On the aqautic front, residents are being offerred a 10 percent discount on pool passes for The pool available through the end of April. The North Pointe pool opens May 26.
