BRIEF: Ameren Updating Cables Along Henry Ave.
Workers for Ameren Missouri upgrade hardware along Henry Avenue in Ballwin on Monday.
Ameren Missouri workers were completing maintenance and hardware work Monday afternoon on Henry Avenue in Ballwin.
Workers on site said the maintenance stretched between Manchester and Clayton roads, and included the installation of cables with additional voltage capacity.
"It's just an upgrade of our systems," said Mike Myers, a journeyman lineman was on site near the intersection of Henry and Royal Village Drive.

Rita Holmes-Bobo, an Ameren Missouri spokesperson, said Henry Avenue also is slated to have new electrical poles installed.
"Just because it may be time to replace some of them based on their condition."

Holmes-Bobo said the project is scheduled to be completed before Nov. 30.
