Ellisville Library Looks Beyond Books in April

Check out what kinds of offerings are available at the Daniel Boone Branch Library next month!

The in Ellisville will be offerring chess, foreign language classes, cooking courses and more for a wide range of age groups as April quickly approaches. Check out the offerrings below, and when you find an event you're interested in for you, your friends or your family.

Daniel Boone Presents: Civil War Love Letters

In honor of the sesquicentennial of the Civil War, step back in time with Molly Kodner, archivist for the Missouri History Museum for a look at a Civil War love story. James E. Love enlisted in the Union Army on June 15, 1861. The following day, James sent the first of many letters home to Molly Wilson, the beloved fiancée he left behind. A prolific writer, James continued to write to her for the duration of his Civil War service. These letters document not only his experiences as a soldier during the war, but also the love story of James and Molly. Registration requested. Adults.
