Itching for a vacation, but can't get away? Don't worry. West County has many fun things to do without leaving town.

Plan a fun day with the kids doing miniature golf and go-karts at the Infield Fun Center. Call ahead for times. It is planning to open for the season Friday, weather permitting. Go-karts cost $7.25 and miniature golf costs $6.95 per person.

The water is always fine at this Ballwin recreation center's indoor pool. The pool has lap lanes, a water playground and a two-story slide. Non-residents only pay $7 for a day pass, so grab your suit and take a plunge.

Skyzone is a unique play center in Chesterfield with three wall-to-wall trampolines where guests can bounce, flip and even play dodgeball. Skyzone is fun for all ages. Avoid the lines by reserving your jump time online—this is highly recommended, because everyone needs to submit a waiver before jumping. Friday night JumpaPalooza is $15 for two hours and includes the SkyRiser bungee trampoline. Normal admission starts at $9 for 30 minutes and up to $20 for 120 minutes of jump time.

This indoor fun center has everything you need to keep older kids and parents entertained, from miniature golf to laser tag. Sports Fusion offers a $20 two-hour pass that will give players access to all the attractions on weekdays. On weekends laser tag costs $7 and 18 holes of miniature golf costs $6 per person.

A nature lover's gem in the heart of West County, Queeny Park has four fishing ponds and 10 miles of trails to hike or bike. Families will love the unusual playground with its tunnels and easy-to-climb pyramid. Pack a picnic, because you can spend the whole day exploring all this park has to offer, and there is no cost.

If you would rather spend your break unwinding, try this luxurious spa located in Lamp and Lantern Village. Here you can buff and soothe away your troubles with a facial or massage.
