The Week Ahead: Food, Floating And David Freese

A look at some fun event and important reminders for the week ahead in Ballwin and Ellisville.

Welcome to The Week Ahead, a chance for Patch to give you some reminders about what to expect over the next few days.

First, the regularly scheduled Ballwin Board of Aldermen meeting for July 22 has been cancelled. In addition, Ballwin Municipal Court will once again be held at the Manchester Police & Courts building on Tuesday while renovation work continues in Ballwin.

Want to meet hometown hero David Freese Monday? He'll sign autographs for the first 200 visitors to the Schnucks store on Kehrs Mill between 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Thursday night will be time once again for the Ellisville Community Farmers Market held at Bluebird Park starting at 4 p.m., followed by Concert in the Park at Bluebird from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

A great event is scheduled for Saturday at the North Pointe Acquatic Center. Learn more about the Ballwin Cardboard Boat Regatta, which is free and sounds like a lot of fun. Will they float?

Editor's Note: We're going to be culling a lot of ideas for this column moving forward by going to our calendar of events. If you have an event you want the world to know about, post it there.
