The Giving Tree in Concert Tonight at Bluebird Park

With a self-described “down-home style” of rock ‘n’ roll, the Chicago-based band The Giving Tree will perform from 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. today at in Ellisville.
The seven-member band will perform folk and country-style songs using their wide arrange of instruments, which include acoustic and electric guitars, slide guitars and banjos to violin, mandolin and pedal steel, according to their biography.
Since 2007, the band has recorded five albums and is on its way to record a sixth.
Acoustic Guitar Magazine's "Best Albums Of 2010" described the band as "harkening back to a wide swath of the classic rock pantheon - such as Neil Young, Bob Dylan, The Band, the Grateful Dead, and The Beatles.”
