6 North Wins as Patch Readers' Favorite Eatery

The Patch Pick 'Em contest pitted 64 Ballwin and Ellisville restaurants in a bracket competition during March and April.

Patch readers have spoken—quite loudly and repeatedly—and when all was said and done, 6 North Cafe was crowned the winner of this year's readers' choice competition for local eateries.

6 North Cafe defeated Tucker's Place in the Patch Pick 'Em finals—but it justed edged Tucker's Place between the votes cast and the comments posted in support of it.

6 North is a cafe on northern edge of Ballwin along Clayton Road, offering a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches and coffee drinks in a comfy and cozy environment that seems to welcome young moms with kids as well as older residents and their coffee klatches.

Ballwin-Ellisville Patch Pick 'Em ran along the same lines as the much-hyped college basketball tournament, except it used Ballwin-Ellisville restaurants instead of college basketball squads.

Sixty-four restaurants entered the field when the bracket debuted March 13. Readers picked which restaurants would advance.
