Ballwin Gun Range Proposal Gets Hearing Tonight
The request is for an indoor facility that would be located on a lot across from the City of Ballwin Government Center and Vlasis Park.
The backers of American Arms and Supply Company will be going before Ballwin's Planning and Zoning Commission Monday night to ask for an amendment to city codes to allow for an indoor shooting range.
The range would be located on part of the former Rothman Furniture site, which now houses a Wendy's restaurant. Work has begun on a U-Gas Convenience Store & Car Wash which is scheduled to open in September. According to the meeting agenda, the proposal is made with the "knowledge and concurrence" of the existing property owner.
Due to renovations at the Police & Courts building, the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting will be held at the Ballwin Golf Course Clubhouse (333 Holloway Road) starting at 7 p.m.
