Ballwin Italian Restaurant Earns Mixed Reviews from Food Critic

Marcella's Mia Sorella received a write-up from Riverfront Times food critic Ian Froeb.

Marcella's Mia Sorella opened four months ago in Ballwin and it can now claim to have survived one of its first rites of passage as a restaurant: the dreaded food critic review.

The Italian restaurant, opened by brothers Jamie and Steve Komorek also know for Trattoria Marcella in south St. Louis, earned a mixed review from the Riverfront Times' Ian Froeb.

Froeb criticized the restaurant for not offering much more beyond bland Italian staples that can be found at any number of establishments in St. Louis. He did, however, have kind words for a pizza toped with spinach, proscuitto cotto and Gruyre.
