Eat St. Pat's Day with Charlotte's Rib BBQ in Ballwin

Diners can get a traditional Irish meal this weekend, with a side offering of various barbecue sauces.

While Charlotte's Rib BBQ obviously is known for its barbecue sauce and meats, its diners can step into the St. Patrick's Day spirits this weekend through a special plate the restaurant's staff is offering:  corned beef and cabbage, soda bread, boiled potatoes and green beans for $8.99. This Irish plate will be available day and evening Friday through Sunday.

Charlotte's staffers told Patch they also will have the makings for Reuben sandwiches, along with their typical barbecue-based menu.

Charlotte's Rib gets its name from Charlotte Peters, the dynamic star of St. Louis' daytime television The Charlotte Peters Show, which aired from 1947 to 1969. The restaurant's famous sauce was created from a Peters' family recipe passed from generation to generation.
