Lingerie Store Moving To Ellisville Next Week

Ellisville's newest business looks to leave Chesterfield ahead of the planned opening of two outlet malls there later this year.

A year and a half after it arrived in Chesterfield, an intimate apparel retailer is on the move again and this time, the store's eyes are on Ellisville.

Jule Lingerie and Loungewear broke the news in a Patch announcement earier this week, talking about the move four miles down Clarkson Road to a new location at  1370 Clarkson Clayton Center in Ellisville.

Jule's Suzanne Gastineau told Patch that it was an "opportunity that you just have to take advantage of," which apparently happened in just the past few days.

Gastineau said the new location, near shops like Marta's and Mary Cates Salon, is the right fit since the businesses all have common clients.

Jule opened in Ladue 10 years ago before making the move to Chesterfield in February of 2012 to double the business's space and offer more products. The new location in Ellisville will be 1500 square feet, slightly smaller than the Chesterfield spot, although Gastineau said customers shouldn't notice the change. Plans call for the Chesterfield location to be open through Saturday, closed Sunday and then open in Ellisville on Monday.

The relocation also beats the arrival of the outlet malls coming to the Chesterfield Valley later this year, a development that Gastineau said "will impact business around here."
