Take a Virtual Tour of the New Schnucks at Kehrs Mill

The latest store for the St. Louis-based grocery chain opens today at 9 a.m.

The doors open at 9 a.m. for the latest Schnucks store in the St. Louis area, a smaller-scale version of what the company called its flagship location in Des Peres.

At 41,000 square feet, however, the store is far from tiny and Chesterfield Patch was offered a sneak preview of the new location Wednesday as employees made final preparations for today's opening.

Schnucks President and COO Todd Scnuck described the amneties he hopes will bring in customers in a press release.

“Schnucks Kehrs Mill hasmany of the key culinary features of Des Peres including the popular Smoke and Grill area.Yet, because it’s about half the size, it’s easy to shop and offers customers an intimate, small-store experience,” Schnuck said.

The "Friendlist Store In Town" just became the most unfriendly store by going against the many, many wishes of the residents of this area by building this store. After seeing the new sign on the corner of Clarkson & Kehrs Mill, which reads "City of Ballwin", we realize this must have been one of the kickbacks to get it approved by the officials of Ballwin.

I think it's a great store and perfect location. Once the nearby residents get to appreciate the convenience, I hope they'll change their opinions. The store is tastefully done both in and out. I like schnucks so much more than the over priced Dierbergs.

The popular vote doesnt elect our president.. why would anyone think it would make a difference where a grocery store would go? Just a thought
