Maximum Exposure: St. Louis-based Klings & Things Photography Chosen to Gift Press at 2013 Primetime Emmys, Exhibit at Webster House Galleries

St. Louis, MO — Klings & Things Photography, a St. Louis-based fine art photography store,
in association with The Artisan Group®, will participate in a press gifting suite hosted by GBK Productions on September 20 and 21, 2013 in Hollywood, California. Christina Kling-Garrett, the store’s founder and artist, contributed 10, six-card stationary sets featuring three of her original pieces printed on bamboo paper to be included in the press gift bags given at this exclusive event.

Klings & Things will receive exposure in The Artisan Group’s® Official Event Guide which will be distributed to all attending celebrities,  press, and media representatives that visit the GBK’s 2013 Primetime Emmys Gift Lounge two days before the telecast.

This significant national exposure news was followed by some wonderful local news as well. Kling-Garrett was chosen to be one of six photographers featured in an upcoming Fine Art Photography Exhibit at Webster House Galleries. In addition to the three pieces featured in the stationary sets she will be gifting to the press in the GBK’s 2013 Primetime Emmys Gift Lounge—Roses on the Stairs, Half Full, and Out of the Box—Kling-Garrett will be showcasing seven more photographs from her extensive collection during the exhibit.

“I feel so fortunate to have been given these two opportunities in the same month,” said Kling-Garrett. “The continued national and local exposure helps me to grow my client base—and allows me to do what I love…find unique perspectives and beauty in the ordinary.”

Through The Artisan Group®, Kling-Garrett has had the opportunity to gift an original piece to Mariska Hargitay of Law and Order SVU, was featured in a program at the 2012 Country Music Awards, and gifted 100 of her “Roses on the Stairs” prints to a luxury celebrity gift lounge hosted by GBK Productions in honor of the 2013 Golden Globe Awards Nominees and Presenters.

Kling-Garrett has also been affiliated with Webster House Galleries in the past. In August, the Gallery selected her three-photograph Angel Series for display. At that time, she was one of only three photographers showcased in the Gallery and one of only 20 artists highlighted throughout the space.

“Staying true to my foundational mission—to make art accessible and affordable—is of the utmost importance to me,” said Kling-Garrett. “Although the exposure at high-profile events in front of people with means is amazing, I look at it as another way to spread my message—that art should be without pretense or pretension.  The pieces at Webster House Galleries will be reasonably priced and my customers will be able to buy the same stationary sets I’m gifting to the press for $18/set on my website.”
