Ballwin Chef Inducted Into Culinary Honor Society

The executive chef at the the Gatesworth in St. Louis became a member of the American Academy of Chefs.

Ballwin resident Brian Hardy, executive chef and director of food and beverage services at the senior living Gatesworth in St. Louis, became a member of the American Academy of Chefs.

The Academy, an honor society of chefs through the American Culinary Federation, inducted 16 new members in 2012, Hardy among them.

Hardy has worked at the Gatesworth for more than 10 years and is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. His local efforts also include serving as president, vice president and committee member at the Chefs de Cuisine Association of St. Louis. Previously, Hardy worked as executive sous chef at the Bellerive Country Club.

The induction ceremony was held at the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando, Fla., as part of the 2012 ACF convention.
