Ballwin Man Back at Work Day After Lightning Incident

An electrical shock that resulted from lightning that hit near a man Tuesday as he was leaving his car wasn't enough to keep the Ballwinite from missing work the next day.

Despite being hospitalized for several hours following an electrical shock, the man from Ballwin injured after lightning hit late Tuesday went back to work Wednesday morning.

The man was injured around 6 p.m. Tuesday, when lightning struck a tree near his home on Vernon Hill Court as he was exiting his car, effectively sending him back into the vehicle, KSDK TV reported.

The man was hospitalized for several hours at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, but was released around midnight, a family member said Wednesday.
