Claybend in Ballwin Gets 2-Week Makeover

The side street near Clayton Road is undergoing resurfacing scheduled to be completed sometime next month.

Claybend Drive in Ballwin is undergoing resurfacing this month as streets throughout the city get rehabbed by the Ballwin Public Works Department.

Resurfacing at the street, located off Clayheath Court near Clarkson and Kehrs Mill roads, started this week and is expected to continue into next month, a foreman for the project said Tuesday.

"It's all weather at this point," Foreman Jeff Filley said.

Filley said the project resulted from numerous complaints about the road's conditions.

"We have selected spots all the way down in the neighborhood, connected down and back on this street alone."

Filley said the site was one of about a half dozen resurfacing projects his crew has undertaken recently, including work last month at the intersection of East Skyline Drive and Kehrs Mill Road. Other street rehab projects currently being tackled by the department include work on Steamboat Lane and Brass Lamp Drive, Filley said.
