Readers Vote 2012: Who Serves the Best Toasted Ravioli?

This is a truly authentic St. Louis dish, but who serves the best in the St. Louis metropolitan area? Vote now!

Nothing is as unique to St. Louis cuisine as its toasted ravioli. A New York Times article from the '80s credits a restaurant on The Hill, St. Louis’ historic Italian neighborhood, with the invention of this unique dish, which, the article says, happened by accident when ravioli was accidentally dropped into a frier.

Today, nearly every bar and Americana-style restaurant in St. Louis serves toasted ravioli accompanied by hearty marinara sauce.

There is too much toasted ravioli served out there for us at Patch to sample it all — although we’d love to try.

So we are asking you, our readers, to help us find the place that has the hands-down best toasted ravioli in the St. Louis metropolitan area.

Just vote in our poll below this story.

The voting period will occur from today until Aug. 17 at midnight. Winners will be announced on Aug. 24.
