Snow Forecast in Ballwin Between 1 and 3 Inches

The National Weather Service reported early Monday that precipitation in Ballwin was 100 percent likely later today.

Drivers heading between Ballwin and St. Louis can expect to see up to 4 inches of snow as they head into the city late Monday, the National Weather Service reports.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the St. Louis area in effect Monday from 9 a.m. until midnight. NWS experts are forecasting accumulations between 2 and 4 inches for the metro area and 1 to 3 inches around Ballwin.

The snow will begin in the mid-morning hours and continue throughout much of the day, according the the NWS. The heaviest snow will fall during the afternoon and early evening hours.

Kara Price, a spokesperson for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), said workers have been pretreating the roads since Saturday night in anticipation of the storm.

"We'll have full crews coming in overnight and throughout the day since it's supposed to be an all-day storm," she said. "We most concerned about the evening rush, so we'll be hitting the roads with extra salt before then."
