St. Louisan Stuck in Dubai Can Come Home Soon

Steve Dolan, held in Dubai over a gun smuggling case, is expected to be able to return home in 4-6 weeks.

Steve Dolan, vice president of shipping for APL Emirates, was acquitted Tuesday of counts relating to a gun smuggling trial in Dubai, according to an STL Today report.

The story adds Dolan was facing up to 50 years in prison for ties he said his company "had nothing to do with" involving knock-off ammunition and guns found in a container screening switching ships in Dubai from Turkey to Djibouti.

Dolan is a graduate of Chaminade College Preparatory School in Creve Coeur and has family in Ballwin.
