Katie's Pizza & Pasta Osteria to Begin Giving Back Tuesdays Event

ST. LOUIS – Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria, a local Italian eatery, will begin their new charity event called Giving Back Tuesdays starting Tues., July 22.

The eatery will be giving 100% of their proceeds for the entire day to a local charity. This event will be held on the fourth Tuesday of each month with a different local charity benefiting.

The first charity selected to benefit from the Giving Back Tuesdays event will be Operation Food Search, a local food bank that distributes food to the hungry and poor, free of charge.

“We truly believe in the spirit of giving back and supporting the community that we serve,” said Katie Lee, owner of Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria. “That’s why we decided to hold this event once a month to help out worthy charities in need. We’re thrilled to be lending a helping hand to Operation Food Search first, and we hope to make a big difference!”

Lee and Collier opened the doors to Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria in November 2013. Since then it has been serving the Great St. Louis region with exquisite Italian meals made with the finest and freshest ingredients. Each dish is created with a comprehensive understanding in how to mix the perfect flavors to give each guest the right Italian flare in each and every dish.

Nearly everything is made in-house at Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria including all of the dough, sauces, and dressings. The restaurant uses artisanal cheeses, cured Italian meats, and seasonal produce, and they also offer gluten free and vegan options.

The restaurant prides itself on its artistic, Italian ambiance. Guests are treated to films that play on a projector screen and can enjoy the restaurant’s newly opened patio.

Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria is open every day from 11 a.m. to midnight and features Happy Hour specials from 4 to 6 p.m. Carry-outs are also available.

Established in 1981 to tackle the growing problem of hunger, Operation Food Search is a St. Louis area food bank that distributes food free of charge to feed the poor and hungry.

Each month, Operation Food Search distributes more than 2.75 million pounds of food and necessities to 270 community partners in 26 counties of Missouri and Illinois and the City of St. Louis. The food bank feeds approximately 150,000 people every single month, and about one-third of these recipients are children.
