Ballwin Break-In Results in $9,000 in Losses

The Ballwin Police Department identifies various crimes that were reported for the first week of May.

• A ring, GPS unit and an air matress were stolen out of unsecured vehicles around 11 p.m. Sunday, May 6 while parked in the 1000 block of Oakwood Farms Lane. The loss was estimated at $800.

• Miscellaneous electronics and money were stolen between 10 p.m. Sunday, May 6 and 7:30 a.m. Monday, May 7 from an unlocked vehicle parked in an open garage in the 100 block of Spring Leigh Court. The losses were valued at $173.

• Golf clubs and miscellaneous electronics were stolen between 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 8 and 7:20 a.m. Wednesday, May 9 from an unlocked vehicle parked in an open garage in the 300 block of Wildforest Court. The losses were estimated at more than $3,000; the golf clubs were later recovered.

• A laptop computer, prescription medication, a baseball glove and money were stolen between 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 8 and 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 9 from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 300 block of Wildbrier Drive. The losses were estimated at $1,360.

• Multiple pieces of jewelry and cash were stolen between 1 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 9 from a residence in the 100 block of Holly Green Drive. Police said one or more suspects accessed the home by breaking in through a door. The combined losses and damage was estimated at more than $9,000.

• A car’s antennae was stolen between 12 p.m. May 11 and 9 a.m. May 12 while parked in the 400 block of Madrina Court. The loss was estimated at $40.
