Ballwin Comes Up Big For Backstoppers

Annual golf tournament raised thousands for the non-profit organization that helps families of fallen first responders.

On August 15, 2013 the Ballwin Police Department presented a check for $3,975.70 to Chief Ron Battelle (Ret.), the Executive Director of The BackStoppers Inc. and Chief Jim Silvernail (Ret.)  The money was raised at the Ballwin Police Department’s Annual Charity Golf Scramble that was held 
on June 17, 2013.  This was the seventh year for the event which has raised over $30,000.00 for The BackStoppers.  

The BackStoppers Inc. is a non-profit organization which provides financial assistance to the families of fallen police officers, firefighters, and publicly-funded paramedics / EMTs employed within the counties covered by Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop C and Illinois State Police District 11.
