Ballwin Crime Report: April 6 – 12

A stolen television, a stolen car and other property is reported damaged or missing in the last week.

April 6:

A locked, 2002 Mazda 626's window was broken and window frame damaged when one or more people stole a GPS unit from the car. Police said the crime occurred during the overnight hours of Wednesday, April 6 at the 100 block of Log Trail Drive. The GPS is valued at roughly $150. The damage to the car was estimated at $300.

A burglary occurred wherein one or more people stole an LCD high definition television valued at $350. Police said the TV was accessed through an unlocked screened-in porch some time between Tuesday, April 5 and the evening of Wednesday, April 6 in the 900 block of Camargo Drive.

April 9:

An unlocked, grey 2001 four-door Toyota Camry was stolen during early afternoon on Sunday, April 9. It was later recovered, damaged, near the intersection of Highway 44 and Highway 270 after a collision involving one other vehicle and a highway median. Sunset Hills Police said a witness identified two white males flee from the vehicle following the crash. The vehicle is being held for finger-print processing in order to help police identify the suspects, Ballwin Police Officer Sarah Bonsee said Wednesday.

Multiple items were stolen from unlocked vehicles during the overnight hours of Sunday, April 9 on Sweet Meadows Lane. Stolen property included cigarettes and cash.

April 11:

A cell phone was stolen some time after 10 p.m. on Monday, April 11 from STL Wireless (formerly Verizon Wireless) at 15471 Manchester Road. Police said the suspect is a white male in his twenties with dark brown hair, approximately 5'8" to 5'9". The phone is valued at about $650.

A burglary occurred at a home between 7 a.m and 5 p.m. on Monday, April 11 in the 200 block of Greenyard Drive. Police said one or more people entered an unlocked residence "during business hours" and stole roughly 15 prescription pills valued at about $25.
