Ballwin Man Faces Child Porn Charges

Jeffrey R. Bainter of Ballwin faces charges of possessing and promoting child pornography.

A man from Ballwin is being charged with possessing and promoting child pornography, according to court records filed last week.

Jeffrey Raymond Bainter, 41, of the 1100 block of Oak Burough Drive, faces four counts of possessing child pornography and two counts of promoting child porn. The charges were filed earlier this month.

Online court records said that as of early Monday, Bainter remained in police custody at the St. Louis County Jail. Bainter's bond was set at $250,000. As of early Monday, no hearing date for Bainter's case has been set.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that Bainter is an accountant, according to state records identifying someone with the same name and address as a certified public accountant.
