Ballwin Man Indicted for Fraud, Identity Theft

Dennis Latour, 28, committed fraud on a relative, a bank and another person, the St. Louis Post Dispatch reports.

On Wednesday, a Ballwin man was indicted on federal charges of wire fraud, identity theft and two bank fraud charges, the St. Louis Post Dispatch reports.

Dennis Latour, 28, gained money through different fraud schemes, according to the article, which cites the federal indictment.

Latour used information from a relative to reopen the relative’s home equity line of credit and then wrote checks on that account, the Post Dispatch reports. The article also states Latour applied for a credit card using another person’s identity and used a third person to get a loan to purchase a vehicle, which he later sold.

Besides the fraud charges, Latour faces other charges in St. Louis County for stealing and in Madison County for theft, according to the Post Dispatch.
