Ballwin Police Have Spots Open In Citizen's Academy

The nine-week session opens Thursday September 5.

The following story was provided by the Ballwin Police department:

The Ballwin Police Department will be conducting a free Citizen’s Police Academy class on Thursdays from September 5 – November 7. The academy will have nine sessions and will meet from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Ballwin Police Station in Vlasis Park.

Participants will receive instruction on patrol techniques, traffic enforcement, accident investigation, crime scene processing, and police communications. The academy is designed to provide interested citizens with a better idea of how their police department operates and the police work within the criminal justice system.

To participate, a person must be at least 18 years old and either a Ballwin 
resident or work within the city limits. Those interested can contact Officer
