Ballwin Police Officers Going 'Over The Edge' For Charity

Sgt. Jim Heldmann and Officer Sarah Bonsee will be helping the Special Olympics' cause.

This fall, a pair of Ballwin Police officers will join the ranks of others who are doing their part to help the Special Olympics.

Sgt. Jim Heldmann and Officer Sarah Bonsee are going "Over The Edge" for Special Olympics Missouri, according to West Newsmagazine.

That means rappelling off the Four Seasons Hotel at Lumiere Place in downtown St. Louis in October. That's a 19-story building.

Each participant raises $1,000 as a minimum. According to the event's website, Officer Bonsee has a slight fundraising edge over Sgt. Jim Heldmann. Together as a team, the Ballwin PD's entry is the top group so far.
