Ballwin Police, Schools Team Up to Help St. Louis Area Food Bank
Seven Ballwin schools participated in the "Pennies Make Sense" fundraiser.
Seven Ballwin schools raised a total of $1,008, during the month of October for the "Pennies Make Sense" fundraiser to benefit the St. Louis Area Food Bank.
The Food Bank provides families with meals for the holidays. The Ballwin Police Department has sponsored the fundraiser since 1994, collecting more than $19,000 for the Food Bank, enough for 76,000 meals.
Claymont Elementary School of the Parkway School District raised the most money this year.

River City Casino pitched in this year, counting the hundreds of pounds of coins collected by students and staff at both public and parochial schools.
