Ballwinite Facing Child Porn Charges Led Scouts, Coached Youth Sports

According to an online tabloid, resident Jeffrey R. Bainter, who of possessing and promoting child pornography, previously served as a Cub Scout leader and youth baseball and soccer coach.

The tabloid, Going Concern, which is aimed at accounting and finance professionals, cited Bainter's profile on the online résumé database LinkedIn, which lists him as an audit manager at finance group Deloitte & Touche, which has an office in downtown St. Louis. A spokesperson for Deloitte & Touche could not be reached for comment Tuesday.

The LinkedIn profile cited by Going Concern, which was taken down sometime Tuesday, said Bainter received an accountancy degree from University of Missouri—Columbia in 1991 followed by a Master's degree in accountancy there in 1993.

In addition to listing "Cub Scout leader (and) youth soccer and baseball coach" under interests, the profile said Bainter is a former Industry Committee Chairperson for the Missouri Society of CPAs, and is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Chesterfield.

As of Tuesday, Bainter, 41, was no longer in police custody at St. Louis County Jail, where he previously was incarcerated and held on a $250,000 bond.

A voicemail left at Bainter's residence Tuesday was not returned.

The next court date in Bainter's case is set for April 26.
