Crime Report for Ballwin

Police report a vandalized car, incidents of theft from car cabins.

Ballwin police reported several items stolen from a car some time Wednesday, Dec. 1 on the 800 block of Wendevy Court. The victim said the items likely were stolen overnight from the car parked outside his home, and included the car radio, speakers, an amplifier and two iPods. The items were valued at more than $2,000

In a separate incident, police reported theft from multiple vehicles near Wendevy Court on the 100 block of Cumberland Park Lane, also on Wednesday, Dec. 1.Β  The victims said their cars were parked in front of their homes and locked, only to find the cars' door handles on the ground the next morning with several items missing. The missing property includes two GPS units and a pair of sunglasses, which are valued at more than $700.

The two incidents reportedly happened on the same day as a that resulted in losses of more than $3,600. Police have not specified whether they believe the incidents Wednesday were directly related.

Ballwin police also reported that a car's passenger-side car window was shattered some time Saturday, Nov. 27, likely in the early morning, on the 500 block of Castle Ridge Drive. Nothing was stolen from inside the car, and police do not know what was used to shatter the window. The damage is estimated to be $300.
