Ellisville Cops: Home Invasion Suspect Arrested

Police say Tyson McGuire forced his way into an elderly woman's home and left her taped to a kitchen stove.

Ellisville Police announced Tuesday morning that the man authorities believe impersonated a UPS deliveryperson before he forced his way into an Ellisville woman's home last month is now in custody.

Police said Tyson McGuire was picked up by St. Louis Police on Monday.

Authorities say McGuire forced his way in to the home April 27 and stole jewelry, among other items, claiming that he had a son with cancer and needed to get to California.

He taped the woman to her stove and kissed her before leaving, according to the victim.

Ellisville Police announced last week that they had applied for Burglary 1st (Class B Felony), Stealing Over/$500 (Class C Felony) and Kidnapping (Class B Felony) warrants against McGuire.
