Fire Set at Ballwin Elementary Creates $10,000 in Damages

The Ballwin Police Department reports a fire that was set at Ballwin Elementary School and other crimes from late last month.

Editor's Note: The following information was submitted by the Ballwin Police Department:

At approximately 5:00pm on 5/25:       An unknown subject(s), set fire to mulch on a playground that caused a rock climbing wall to burn down at Ballwin Elementary School located at 400 Jefferson. The damage is estimated at $10,000.

At approximately 11:45pm on 5/25: A mailbox was thrown at a car while it was parked in the 500 block of Highland Ridge Drive.  The damage is approximately $500.

At approximately 1:00am on 5/26: A mailbox was thrown at a parked car on Sunnybrae Court.  The damage is approximately $500.

Between 3:00 – 6:00am on 5/27:  A tree was unearthed and several tee markers were stolen at the Ballwin Golf Course located at 333 Holloway Drive.  The combined loss and damage is estimated at $240.

Between 7:00pm on 5/26 – 9:30am on 5/27: A wallet containing $450 in cash was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the 500 block of Blazedwood Drive.
