Man Hospitalized With Injuries From Crash Involving Ballwin Driver

Police report a Ballwin man was driving a truck that struck a motorcycle this week sending one person to the hospital.

Randy J. Powell, 34 of High Ridge, was riding his 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle and making making a left turn Monday onto Capetown Village Road when he was struck by a 200 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck that failed to yield the right-of-way, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP).

Brandon E. Moore, 27, of Ballwin, was the driver of the truck that the MSHP report stated struck the side of Powell's motorcycle, sending Powell to SSM St. Clare Health Center with moderate injuries. The accident occurred about 2:58 p.m.

The Harley Davidson was deemed a total loss while the Chevrolet pickup was described as sustaining minor damage, according to the MSHP report, which also stated Moore was uninjured in the crash.
