Murders Prompt St. Louis County Police to Deliver Pizzas

A Parkway South graduate was shot to death while delivering pizzas earlier this year. Now, another pizza delivery driver murder reportedly has St. Louis County police going undercover to catch criminals.

The announcement comes after an Imo’s delivery driver was shot and killed Monday night while delivering pizzas in Dellwood. Police said the driver was robbed of the pizzas and a cellphone.

Maksimenko, who lived in the Ballwin area, was working at the Northwood Imo's Pizza when he was murdered. Police said robbery was the motive for the shooting. Two people were later arrested and charged in connection to Maksimenko's murder.

According to the Post-Dispatch article, Fitch said officers who typically work undercover drug cases will be the ones working the pizza deliveries. This is reportedly the first time St. Louis County police have tried such a plan.
